What “estimated” means: a live departure is a prediction. It can move as the vehicle encounters traffic, boarding delays, detours or schedule recovery.
LANTA introduced ValleyRide account-based ticketing in 2025 and expanded the system with open contactless payment in 2026. Riders can use a ValleyRide smart card, Transit app or supported contactless payment method.

Use one payment identity consistently. Fare-capping systems work by recognizing your payment account. Switching between a physical bank card and a different wallet/device can prevent trips from being grouped correctly.

Major LANTA Transfer Areas to Recognize

Many Allentown routes meet in the downtown transit-center area. myStop distinguishes individual platforms and nearby streets, so check the platform instead of simply walking to “ATC.”
BTCBethlehem Transportation Center
Several routes use platform-specific BTC stops. The official real-time stop list distinguishes BTC Platform 1, Platform 2 and other boarding positions.
EITCEaston Intermodal Transportation Center
Easton trips can connect with other local or intercity services. Verify both the route destination and boarding bay before transferring.
Transfer-center rule: a trip planner saying “transfer at ATC” is not enough. Check the arriving platform, departing platform and walking time between them.
How to Find the Right LANTA Stop
Stop name
LANTA stop names often combine two street names and a direction suffix such as EB, WB, NB or SB.
Stop ID
myStop uses numeric stop IDs. Saving the number is useful when several stops have similar names.
Direction suffix
EB means eastbound, WB westbound, NB northbound and SB southbound.
Platform
Transit-center stops may be shown as ATC or BTC plus a named platform.
Temporary closure
myStop can display route notices that tell riders a specific stop is closed because of construction.
Alternative stop
When a stop is closed, follow the official notice rather than assuming the next pole on the road serves the same route.
Real example: LANTA’s real-time system has displayed construction notices that skip named stops on Routes 105 and 107. This is why the live alert should be checked even when you already know the normal route.
Plan a LANTA Trip Without Guessing at Connections
Enter your real origin and destination. Use the exact address or intersection rather than only a city name.
Select the correct date. A Sunday journey can produce a different route combination from a weekday trip.
Choose arrival or departure time. For work, school, medical appointments or intercity buses, plan around the time you must arrive.
Check transfer time. Do not assume two routes leaving a transit center at the same minute form a safe connection.
Save both route directions. The return journey may use a stop on another street or platform.
Check myStop before leaving. Use live data for the travel-day check.
Using LANTA for Lehigh Valley International Airport
LANTA’s current route list includes Route 324 – Airport. Airport riders should search Route 324 in myStop, select the travel direction and confirm the exact airport-area stop before departure.
Before the outbound trip
Leave enough buffer for the bus ride, terminal walk, airline check-in and security screening.
After landing
Check the next live departure before leaving the terminal area. Scheduled times can be less useful when a flight arrives late.
Luggage
Keep baggage controlled and out of the aisle. LANTA is a public transit service rather than an airline baggage service.
Flight-critical trip: do not plan to arrive at the airport on the last possible bus. Build a missed-bus or traffic buffer into the trip.
Weekday, Saturday and Sunday LANTA Schedules
Not every LANTA route has the same operating pattern. A route that appears in the system can run less frequently, use different hours or operate only on selected days.
Weekday
Usually offers the broadest commuter and employment service, but peak trips can create extra route variants.
Saturday
Check both the first/last trip and frequency. A Saturday timetable is not automatically the weekday schedule with fewer buses.
Sunday
Some routes have reduced or no Sunday service. Run the trip planner for the exact Sunday date.
Selected-day routes need special attention. A name such as Route 701 “Nesquehoning – Carbon Plaza MWF” explicitly signals an operating-day restriction.
Accessible LANTA Travel
Riders using wheelchairs, walkers or other mobility devices should check both the bus and the physical stop. Construction can temporarily move an otherwise convenient boarding location.
Boarding
Position yourself where the driver can safely deploy the ramp or other accessible boarding equipment.
Priority area
Keep mobility-device and priority-seating spaces available for riders who need them.
Temporary stops
A detoured boarding point may have different curb, sidewalk or slope conditions.

What to Do When a LANTA Bus Is Late, Rerouted or Missing
Bus does not appear in myStop
The vehicle may not yet be reporting, may have changed assignment or may have been removed from the trip. Check the next listed departure and route notice.
Stop is closed
Read the route notice for the named replacement stop. Do not assume the opposite-side stop serves your direction.
Bus is late
Watch whether the live estimate moves. A continuously changing prediction usually means the system is recalculating from current vehicle progress.
No weekend trip appears
Confirm the route operates on that day. Some services are weekday-only or selected-day routes.
Wrong destination on bus
Do not board simply because the route number matches. The vehicle may be heading in the opposite direction or ending before your destination.
Connection looks too tight
Choose an earlier first bus when missing the transfer would cause a serious delay.
Before You Leave for a LANTA Bus
Confirm the correct route number or Green/Blue Line.
When calling about a bus problem, provide: route, direction, stop ID, date, approximate time and bus number if visible. That is much more useful than saying only “my bus was late.”
