Quick answer

How to Find an OCTA Bus Schedule Fast

Do not start by guessing a departure time. First identify your route number or origin and destination. OCTA publishes separate timetables for every route, and schedules are updated quarterly.

1
Enter Trip

Use the OCTA Trip Planner if you do not know your route.

2
Confirm Route

Match route number and destination.

3
Choose Direction

Check the terminal or destination shown on the bus.

4
Find Stop

Use the stop number for real-time arrival tools.

5
Check Alert

Confirm there is no detour or stop closure.

OCTA rider recommendation: arrive at your bus stop about 10 minutes before the scheduled departure. Real-time arrival information can still change because of traffic or operational conditions.

OC Bus Rapid

Rapid Routes 529, 543, 553 & 560

OC Bus Rapid routes are useful when a limited-stop service matches your corridor. Do not assume a Rapid bus serves every local stop on the equivalent corridor.

529 Fullerton → Huntington Beach
543 Fullerton Transportation Center → Costa Mesa
553 Anaheim → Costa Mesa
560 Santa Ana → Westminster
Rapid-route mistake to avoid: a Rapid route can skip stops served by a local route. Verify your boarding and destination stops before choosing it.
