Disney Bus Schedule: Routes, Times & Stops

Looking for the Disney bus schedule? Walt Disney World Resort in Florida operates complimentary, air-conditioned buses connecting Disney Resort hotels with theme parks, Disney Springs and certain water park transfer locations.

Unlike a city bus system, most Disney resort buses do not have a publicly fixed departure timetable for every stop. This guide explains when they start and finish, how to check the next bus in My Disney Experience, which route to use, where to board, and what to do when traveling to water parks or the airport.

Location Walt Disney World, Florida
Resort bus fare Complimentary
Theme park start 45 minutes before opening
Theme park finish 1 hour after closing
Information reviewed October 9, 2026
Quick answer

What Is the Disney Bus Schedule?

Disney resort buses operate continuously during published transportation hours instead of following one universal public timetable. Disney states that bus service between Disney Resort hotels and theme parks begins 45 minutes before a theme park opens and ends one hour after that park closes.

Disney Springs buses operate during Disney Springs opening hours and end one hour after closing. Water park buses have separate transfer and operating rules depending on which water park is open.

1
Check park hours

Confirm today’s opening and closing times.

2
Pick destination

Choose the park, resort or Disney Springs.

3
Find stop

Read the hotel’s posted bus stop signs.

4
Check app

Use available resort bus arrival estimates.

5
Plan return

Allow time after fireworks or dinner.

Disney World is not Disneyland: This article primarily covers Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida. Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, has a different parking-shuttle and local transportation system.

Disney Bus Schedule Guide

Official operating window

Disney Bus Schedule Times: First Bus and Last Bus

Disney’s operating windows are tied to the destination’s opening and closing times. Because the four theme parks can have different hours on the same date, the actual first and last bus windows can also differ.

First theme park bus service −45 min

Bus service between Disney Resort hotels and theme parks begins 45 minutes before the park’s published opening.

Last theme park bus service +60 min

Resort buses continue until one hour after the applicable theme park closes.

Disney Springs return service +60 min

Resort-hotel bus service ends one hour after Disney Springs closes.

Example: a park open from 9 AM to 9 PM

18:15 AM
Bus service starts
29:00 AM
Park opens
3Daytime
Buses circulate
49:00 PM
Park closes
510:00 PM
Service window ends
Illustrative timing only: This is an explanation of Disney’s published operating rule, not a dated departure schedule. Early Entry, special ticketed events, transportation changes and individual park closures can affect guest movement. For an early breakfast, dining reservation or rope-drop plan, confirm the first usable transportation option with the resort.

How frequently do Disney buses arrive?

Disney does not publish one guaranteed headway that applies to every resort, time of day or destination. A common guest-planning estimate is approximately 20 minutes between buses, but this is not an official fixed promise. Crowds, loading time, traffic and dispatch decisions can extend waits.

For readers familiar with normal public transportation, our guide to interpreting scheduled bus times versus real-time arrivals explains the difference between a timetable, a headway and a live prediction. Disney’s continuous resort shuttle operation should not be treated as a regular city route-number timetable.

Disney transportation routes

Disney Bus Routes to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom

The best way to choose a Disney bus route is to identify your resort and final destination. Some Disney Resort hotels have direct buses to parks, while others primarily use monorail, boat, Disney Skyliner or walking connections for particular destinations.

Magic Kingdom Park

Many Disney Resort hotels provide direct bus transportation to Magic Kingdom. Hotels close to the park may instead use monorail, boat or walking connections.

Check: Resort bus stop, Magic Kingdom destination sign and return-bus assignment. The Transportation and Ticket Center is not the same as the front-of-park bus stop.

EPCOT

Buses serve EPCOT from many resort locations, but several Skyliner-connected resorts primarily use the Disney Skyliner to reach EPCOT’s International Gateway.

Check: Main entrance versus International Gateway, transportation mode and any Skyliner service interruption.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Many hotels use Disney buses to reach Hollywood Studios. Skyliner-area hotels can instead use gondola transportation when it is operating.

Check: Skyliner availability, bus stop signs and return transportation after Fantasmic! or other nighttime entertainment.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Bus transportation is a major way to reach Animal Kingdom from Disney Resort hotels because there is no monorail or Skyliner line directly serving the park.

Check: Animal Kingdom closing time, the return stop assignment and any transfer required from another Disney location.

Practical route rule: Do not assume every Disney Resort hotel offers a direct bus to every location at all times. Choose the destination inside My Disney Experience and use Disney’s recommended combination of bus, Skyliner, boat, monorail or walking.
Resort bus stops

Disney Resort Hotel Bus Schedules and Transportation Choices

Large Disney hotels can have several bus stops and different internal loops. Some hotels have a single principal bus loading area; others use multiple neighborhood stops. Always identify the correct pickup point for your room location.

Disney Resort hotel or group Useful transportation arrangement What to check before waiting
All-Star Resorts Bus service to theme parks and other eligible destinations. Confirm your specific All-Star hotel and destination.
Pop Century / Art of Animation Buses for destinations such as Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom; Skyliner for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios when operating. Do not wait for a normal bus to a destination primarily served by the Skyliner unless replacement service is announced.
Caribbean Beach / Riviera Bus services combined with Skyliner connections. Confirm the correct station, bus stop or resort zone.
Coronado Springs Multiple bus stops across the resort. Disney lists stops at El Centro/Gran Destino, Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas.
Port Orleans Riverside / French Quarter Resort buses plus boat options to Disney Springs, when operating. Check the individual resort stop, boat availability and return transportation.
Contemporary / Polynesian / Grand Floridian Monorail and/or walking and boat connections for certain parks, plus bus service for other destinations. The shortest route to Magic Kingdom may not be by bus.

Shopping and dining transportation

Disney Springs Bus Schedule and Return Times

Disney Resort hotel buses operate to and from Disney Springs during its published operating hours. Disney states that this service ends one hour after Disney Springs closes.

From Disney Resort hotel

Find the Disney Springs destination at your resort’s bus stop and confirm current operation.

From Disney Springs

Use the designated resort-hotel bus loop and confirm your hotel destination before boarding.

From a theme park

Do not assume there is a direct theme-park-to-Disney Springs bus. Plan an appropriate resort connection or another transportation mode.

Disney Springs boarding eligibility: Disney states that boarding a resort-hotel bus from Disney Springs may require proof of a Disney Resort hotel stay or a valid dining/experience reservation. Guests with a qualifying reservation may board the relevant bus up to two hours before that reservation.

Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach

Disney Water Park Bus Schedule and Transfer Guide

Disney’s water park buses depend on which water park is operating. Water parks may close for seasonal maintenance, weather, capacity or other reasons. Check the water park hours calendar before leaving.

Typhoon Lagoon

For most Disney Resort hotels, Disney directs guests to the Disney Springs area and then to the connecting Typhoon Lagoon bus when Typhoon Lagoon is open.

  • Transfer service begins approximately 30 minutes before water park opening.
  • Return service to Disney Springs ends approximately 60 minutes after water park closing.
  • Check the transfer point and any date-specific direct bus exception.

Blizzard Beach

When Blizzard Beach is open, guests at most Disney Resort hotels transfer through Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney lists some direct resort services for Coronado Springs and the All-Star hotels.

  • Animal Kingdom transfer service begins about 30 minutes before opening.
  • Return service to Animal Kingdom ends about 60 minutes after Blizzard Beach closes.
  • Resort-specific exceptions and alternate routing should be checked.
October 2026 note: Disney’s special Cool KIDS’ SUMMER direct water-park bus arrangements operated from May 26 through September 8, 2026. Do not assume those limited-period exceptions still apply after September 8.
Park-to-park travel

How to Travel Between Disney Theme Parks

Park-to-park transport can combine buses, monorail, Skyliner, boats and walking routes. The most efficient choice depends on the pair of parks, current service and which entrance you are using.

EPCOT ↔ Hollywood Studios

Skyliner and water transportation can be useful for this corridor. Routes involving the International Gateway may require walking through EPCOT to reach the desired area.

Tip: Check whether you need a park admission arrangement to pass through park entrances.

Magic Kingdom ↔ EPCOT

Monorail travel involves the Transportation and Ticket Center, where guests can change between relevant monorail routes.

Tip: Include time for walking, boarding and any required change of train.

Animal Kingdom ↔ Other Parks

Disney’s Animal Kingdom commonly relies on bus connections for travel to other theme parks.

Tip: Ask a Cast Member to confirm the active park-hopping boarding point.

Resort hotel ↔ Another resort hotel

Not every pair of Disney Resort hotels has a direct bus link. You may need a theme park, Disney Springs, monorail, boat or Skyliner transfer.

Tip: For a dinner reservation, plan the return as carefully as the outward journey.

Best route finder: Open My Disney Experience, choose your destination and tap “Get Directions.” Disney recommends using the app or asking a Cast Member to identify the most practical transportation combination.
Airport and public bus options

Disney Bus From Orlando Airport: Free or Paid?

Disney’s complimentary internal resort bus system is not an Orlando International Airport (MCO) transfer service. A guest flying into MCO must arrange airport transportation separately.

Disney resort buses

Cost: Complimentary on eligible Disney internal transportation.

Best for: Getting around Walt Disney World after you arrive at your resort or another Disney transportation point.

These buses do not carry luggage and are not regular MCO pickup shuttles.

Airport shuttles, taxis and rideshare

Cost: Paid, depending on operator, passenger count and service.

Best for: Direct travel from the airport to a selected hotel or resort.

Check the operating company, luggage rules, pickup terminal and advance booking requirements.

LYNX public buses

Cost: LYNX’s normal public transit fare rules apply.

Best for: Budget-focused Orlando-area transportation, including supported links serving Disney-area stops.

LYNX Link 311 is an important connection between MCO and Disney Springs, but it is not a Disney-operated resort shuttle.

For the official public-bus options around Orlando, Disney Springs and MCO, our previously published LYNX Orlando bus schedule and Disney-area airport connection guide explains Links 300, 311, 350 and other nearby services, including fares, stops and how to check the last bus.

Flight-day warning: Airport pickup zones, luggage allowance, schedule times and transfers vary by provider. Allow substantial time for airport security and traffic, and do not rely on an internal Disney bus to reach MCO.
Maps and stop locations

Disney Bus Map: Find Your Resort and Theme Park Bus Stops

Walt Disney World is a large multi-destination resort rather than one fixed bus line. Use Disney’s official transportation guide for the correct route and the My Disney Experience app for directions and stop locations.

Official Disney directions

  • Open your destination in My Disney Experience.
  • Select “Get Directions.”
  • Review bus, monorail, Skyliner, boat or walking options.
  • Confirm the pickup and drop-off location.
  • Recheck when you are ready to travel.

Google Maps as support

  • Identify your resort and park entrances.
  • Review walking paths and approximate travel distances.
  • Compare public transportation where available.
  • Check actual signs and Disney directions before boarding.
  • Avoid assuming a map pin guarantees a running bus.

The site’s Google Maps bus stop and transit directions tutorial explains how to locate transit stops, review walking routes and distinguish scheduled departure information from predictions. For Disney’s internal transportation, Disney’s own app and signs remain the primary guidance.

Accessibility and family boarding

Disney Bus Accessibility, Wheelchairs, Strollers and Luggage

Disney’s bus transportation includes accessibility accommodations. Disney says its buses are equipped to accommodate wheelchairs and ECVs, subject to size, lift/ramp fit and securement requirements.

Wheelchairs and ECVs

  • Most Disney buses accommodate up to two mobility devices in securement areas.
  • The device must fit the access equipment and be properly secured.
  • Disney recommends that ECV users transfer to a bus seat when possible.
  • Tell the driver if you need ramp, rear-door or other boarding assistance.

Strollers, bags and family travel

  • Strollers must be folded and kept out of the aisle.
  • Medical strollers for guests with disabilities may be treated as wheelchairs.
  • Disney does not permit luggage on Walt Disney World resort buses.
  • Alcohol is not permitted on Disney buses.
Family travel tip: Fold your stroller before the bus arrives, keep essential items accessible and allow extra time for boarding with children. If the bus is full or your group needs assistance, ask a Cast Member or driver about the next suitable service.
Disneyland is different

Disneyland California Bus Schedule vs. Disney World Florida

Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, does not use the same resort-wide bus operation as Walt Disney World in Florida.

Disneyland parking buses and trams

At Disneyland, buses carry guests from the Toy Story Parking Area to the Main Entrance Esplanade. Guests parking at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals structures generally use trams or other designated accessible transportation.

Use the Disneyland parking page for the current boarding and parking rules.

Official Disneyland Parking Transportation

Los Angeles airport transportation

Disneyland-bound visitors arriving at Los Angeles International Airport should arrange the onward journey separately. LAX FlyAway is a paid airport bus system serving Van Nuys and Union Station; it is not a direct Disneyland shuttle.

If you are considering a transfer through Los Angeles, our LAX FlyAway shuttle schedule and boarding-location guide explains the separate airport bus service, ticketing and terminals.

Troubleshooting

What to Do if Your Disney Bus Is Late, Missing or Full

No bus time in app

Confirm your resort reservation is active and linked. If the bus-time feature is unavailable, use the stop display where present or ask a Cast Member.

Bus arrived but is full

Wait in the correct designated queue and follow Cast Member instructions. A second bus may be needed during peak demand.

Skyliner or boat unavailable

Transportation alternatives can change. Ask which replacement bus or route is currently operating.

Fireworks or special event exit

Expect larger crowds and longer queues. Follow directional signs and verify whether your resort uses a particular return stop.

Water park closed

Do not assume the normal water park bus transfer is operating. Check the water park calendar before beginning the trip.

Missed the published operating window

Ask a Cast Member for available assistance or arrange an appropriate paid ride. Do not assume buses continue indefinitely.

Disney transportation assistance: Ask a Cast Member or call 407-939-7433 (407-WDW-RIDE). Guests under 18 need parent or guardian permission to call.
Before your Disney bus trip

Frequently asked questions

Disney Bus Schedule FAQs

Is there an official Disney bus schedule?

Disney provides official bus transportation guidance and app-based arrival tools. Walt Disney World resort buses generally operate continuously rather than publishing a fixed public timetable for every bus and stop.

What time do Disney buses start running?

Disney states that bus service between its Resort hotels and theme parks begins 45 minutes before the applicable park opens. Check the actual park hours and resort transportation information for your travel date.

How late do Disney buses run after the parks close?

Disney Resort hotel buses are scheduled to operate until one hour after the applicable theme park closes. Special events or operational changes can require additional guidance from Disney.

How often do Disney buses arrive?

Guests often plan around an approximately 20-minute interval, but this is only a rough expectation and not a guaranteed Disney-wide schedule. Actual waits vary by resort, destination and demand.

Are Walt Disney World resort buses free?

Disney’s internal resort transportation is complimentary, subject to its applicable guest and service rules. Airport shuttles, public buses and Minnie Van service are separate transportation options that may charge a fare.

How can I see Disney bus arrival times on my phone?

Use My Disney Experience. With an active linked Disney Resort hotel reservation, the Hotel Reservation area can display “See Bus Times” when the feature is available.

Are there direct buses from Disney Springs to theme parks?

Do not plan on Disney Springs functioning as a direct theme-park bus terminal. Use Disney’s route directions to identify an appropriate resort transfer or other transportation mode.

Which bus goes to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon?

When Typhoon Lagoon is open, most Disney Resort hotel guests take a bus to the Disney Springs area and transfer to the water park bus, subject to any current resort-specific exception.

Which bus goes to Disney’s Blizzard Beach?

When Blizzard Beach is open, most Disney Resort hotel guests transfer through Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Certain resorts have direct water park service as described by Disney.

Is there a free Disney bus from Orlando Airport?

No. Disney’s complimentary internal resort bus network is not an MCO airport shuttle. Guests should arrange airport transportation separately, such as a paid shuttle, rideshare, taxi or public LYNX connection.

Can I take a stroller or wheelchair on a Disney bus?

Strollers generally must be folded and stowed out of the aisle. Disney buses accommodate wheelchairs and ECVs under Disney’s published fit and securement rules, and most have spaces for up to two mobility devices.

Is the Disney World bus schedule the same as Disneyland’s?

No. Walt Disney World is in Florida and has an internal resort-wide bus system. Disneyland in California uses different parking-area bus, tram and local transportation arrangements.
