LYNX operates the Central Florida bus network serving Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties, with additional connections into parts of Lake and Polk counties. Local buses are called “Links,” while FastLink, LYMMO, NeighborLink and ACCESS LYNX follow different service rules.

This guide explains how to find the correct Link, read its schedule, locate a stop, reach Orlando International Airport, Disney, Universal or SunRail, pay the correct fare, track the bus and handle transfers, detours or accessibility needs.

How to Find Your LYNX Bus Schedule

LYNX routes are identified by a Link number and destination name. Search by the destination or corridor first, then open the individual Link page for exact weekday, Saturday, Sunday and holiday times.

Enter your trip Use the official trip planner with a full address, airport, attraction, hospital, school or transit station.
Identify the Link Note every Link number, direction and transfer included in the suggested trip.
Check the service day A Link can start later, end earlier or run less often on weekends and holidays.
Locate the stop Match the pink LYNX stop sign, Link number, street side and destination direction.
Check live conditions Review real-time arrivals and active alerts shortly before leaving.
Do not use a Link number alone: Link 11, Link 42, Link 311 and Link 436S can all serve Orlando International Airport, but they begin in different places and follow different corridors.

Not every LYNX vehicle follows a normal fixed route. Booking, boarding, fares and stop rules depend on the service type.

Local Bus Links

Fixed-route buses use designated LYNX stops and published schedules throughout Central Florida.

The official overview lists 68 daily local bus routes serving an area of about 2,500 square miles.

FastLink

FastLink is limited-stop commuter service designed to reduce travel time by serving fewer stops along selected corridors.

Current FastLink services include 407, 418 and 441. The standard fare is the same as local bus service.

LYMMO

LYMMO is a free downtown Orlando circulator using Orange, Lime and Grapefruit lines.

It operates like a small bus rapid-transit network and serves downtown employment, government, entertainment and residential areas.

NeighborLink

NeighborLink is curb-to-curb, on-demand service inside defined zones. It does not use a normal fixed route or fixed stop sequence.

Trips are booked on the same day through Rides on Demand or by calling the reservation line.

ACCESS LYNX

ACCESS LYNX is shared-ride, door-to-door transportation for eligible individuals who cannot use regular fixed-route service because of a disability or other qualifying limitation.

Eligibility approval is required before booking normal ACCESS LYNX trips.

Vanpool

Vanpool is a commuter option for people with similar origins, destinations and work schedules.

It is different from a public Link and does not appear as a normal stop-by-stop bus route.

Find the Correct LYNX Link and Stop

A LYNX schedule is useful only after the route, direction, service day and boarding stop have all been matched.

Link number Match the complete route number.
Destination Read the bus headsign.
Service day Weekday or weekend.
Stop sign Pink bus or paw symbol.
Street side Confirm travel direction.
Alert status Check stop relocation.
Search by destination or full address. The official planner accepts street addresses and popular destinations such as theme parks, airports and supermarkets.
Write down every Link in the trip. A result containing two Link numbers requires a transfer unless the planner explicitly describes through service.
Open each individual route schedule. Check the first terminal, final terminal, direction and service day.
Use the nearest scheduled timepoint. Printed schedules usually list major locations rather than every local stop.
Confirm the stop on the correct side of the road. Two stops at the same intersection may serve opposite directions.
Recheck shortly before departure. Use the Transit app and LYNX alerts for actual conditions.

LYNX identifies Links 11, 42, 51, 311, 407 and 436S as Orlando International Airport services. The best route depends on whether the rider is coming from downtown Orlando, International Drive, Disney, Kissimmee, Lake Nona or the SR 436 corridor.

Universal Orlando Links Links 21, 38 and 40 provide different Universal-area patterns. Confirm whether the stop serves the parking garage, employment center or visitor corridor.

Reading times correctly

How LYNX Bus Times and Frequencies Work

LYNX schedule times usually show departures from the beginning of a route and selected major timepoints. Buses make additional stops between those published points.

The chart explains frequency, not current Link headways. Open the individual route because service frequency can change by direction, time of day and day of week.
First bus Use the departure time from the starting terminal, then locate your stop farther along the schedule.
Last bus Check the return direction separately. The final outbound and inbound trips are often different.
Holiday service LYNX commonly uses Sunday-level service on holidays for routes that normally operate Sundays, but each holiday notice must be checked.
Approximate frequency A stated frequency is a planning interval, not a guaranteed wait at every stop.
Short-turn trip A bus can end before the full route terminal. Read the destination displayed on the bus.
Real-time prediction A live arrival estimate can move earlier or later as traffic and operating conditions change.

LYNX Bus Fares, Transfers and Pass Prices

The standard fixed-route fare is $2. Reduced fares require qualification under the Youth or AdvantAge program and a LYNX-approved ID where required.

Single Ride $2.00 Discount fare: $1.00 Ask the operator for a transfer while boarding when another Link is required.
All-Day Pass $4.50 Discount pass: $2.25 Request the pass before inserting money. It is valid from 4 a.m. until 3 a.m. the following day.
7-Day Pass $16.00 Discount pass: $8.00 Consider this when riding repeatedly over seven consecutive days.
30-Day Pass $50.00 Discount pass: $25.00 Designed for regular riders making repeated trips throughout the month.
One boarding $2 A single fare is normally the lowest-cost option.
One transfer 90 Request the free 90-minute transfer when boarding.
Three or more rides $4.50 An All-Day Pass may cost less than separate fares.
Frequent riding 7/30 Compare the 7-Day and 30-Day passes.
Transfer rule: LYNX states that transfers are free and limited to 90 minutes. They are not valid on the same Link or for a round trip.
All-Day Pass mistake: tell the operator that you want an All-Day Pass before placing money into the farebox.

Tap to Pay and Paw Pass

Tap to Pay Tap an accepted credit card, debit card, mobile wallet or wearable on the farebox target. Inform the operator before tapping when using an approved reduced fare, and request a transfer when needed.
Bank-statement timing LYNX says open-payment fares may be grouped and charged after the balance reaches $10 or once every three days, whichever occurs first.
Paw Pass Purchase and display supported digital fares through the current LYNX Paw Pass system.
Physical passes Passes are sold online, at LYNX Central Station and through authorized Pass Partner locations.

LYMMO is LYNX’s free downtown Orlando circulator. The lines cover different parts of downtown and do not operate on identical schedules.

Paratransit and mobility service

ACCESS LYNX Eligibility, Applications and Trip Management

ACCESS LYNX is shared-ride, door-to-door transportation for eligible people who cannot use regular fixed-route service because of a disability or other qualifying limitation.

Review program eligibility. ACCESS LYNX is not an automatic alternative to the regular bus. Eligibility is based on the applicable program and the applicant’s transportation limitations.
Complete the official application. LYNX currently directs interested applicants through a mail-in application process.
Wait for the eligibility decision. Do not attempt to reserve ordinary ACCESS LYNX service until approval and rider instructions have been received.
Book through the approved channel. Eligible riders can use WebACCESS or call the ACCESS LYNX reservation line.
Confirm the pickup window. Shared-ride paratransit uses a scheduled pickup window rather than an exact private-car arrival time.
Cancel trips no longer needed. Use WebACCESS or the reservation service to avoid a late cancellation or no-show issue.

How to Ride a LYNX Bus Step by Step

Find an official LYNX stop. LYNX stop signs use a pink bus or pink paw with the Link numbers serving that stop shown below.
Be at the sign before the bus approaches. Fixed-route buses stop only at designated LYNX stops.
Read the Link number and destination. A stop can serve several routes or directions.
Pay or scan when boarding. Prepare exact payment, Paw Pass or an accepted Tap to Pay method.
Ask for a transfer immediately. Request the transfer from the operator while boarding when another Link is needed.
Keep the front seats available. Priority seating should remain available for riders who need it.
Request the stop one block early. Pull the cord above the windows before the bus reaches the desired stop.
Exit through the rear door when possible. Wait for the green light, push the rear door firmly and step clear of the vehicle.
Do not cross directly in front of the bus. Wait until the bus has left and traffic is visible before crossing safely.

Wheelchair Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodations

The official LYNX system map states that all Links are wheelchair accessible. This describes the vehicles and service, but it does not guarantee that every sidewalk, curb or temporary stop has identical physical conditions.

Accessible vehicles Ask the operator to deploy the ramp or lift and allow time for mobility-device securement.
Priority seating Keep designated seating and securement areas available for riders who need them.
Inaccessible stop LYNX may consider boarding at a short but safe distance from an inaccessible stop as a reasonable modification.
Accessible information Request schedules, notices or other materials in an accessible format when needed.
NeighborLink Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available in each NeighborLink zone.
ACCESS LYNX Apply when a disability or qualifying limitation prevents use of normal fixed-route service.
Construction warning: a temporary stop may have a different curb, slope, sidewalk or boarding surface. Contact LYNX when the substitute location is not usable.

LYNX Service Alerts, Detours, Holidays and Severe Weather

Service alerts can close stops, change transfer bays or reroute several Links at once. Construction around International Drive, airports, theme parks and downtown event streets can be especially disruptive.

Temporary stop closure The alert should identify the affected Links and replacement boarding location when one is available.
Construction detour A bus may leave the normal street and skip several consecutive stops.
Theme-park bay change Disney and visitor-area transfer bays can change during major operating adjustments.
Downtown event Arena events, festivals, races and road closures can affect LYMMO and downtown Links.
Holiday schedule Check whether the Link runs Sunday service, reduced service or no service on the holiday.
Hurricane conditions Service can be reduced or suspended when wind and road conditions make operation unsafe.

Common LYNX Bus Problems and What to Do

The bus is not showing in Transit Check whether the trip has started, whether real-time data is unavailable and whether a service alert affects the Link.
The PDF and app show different times Verify the PDF effective date. Use the current route page and active alert for the final decision.
The bus passed the stop Confirm that the stop sign lists your Link and direction and that the bus was not out of service or following a detour.
The destination sign is different Do not board until the operator confirms that the bus reaches your destination or transfer point.
You missed a transfer Open the planner again using the current time and check whether another Link or SunRail connection is available.
The farebox rejected payment Ask the operator which accepted backup payment option can be used. Do not repeatedly tap different cards without understanding the charge.
NeighborLink shows no trip Confirm that both locations are inside the same zone, that the zone is open and that the final booking deadline has not passed.
The embedded map will not load Use the direct PDF button. A blocked iframe does not mean the route or map was removed.
