Published GTFS-based weekday data includes overnight departures from Eastern Parkway/Utica Avenue around 1:57 AM, 3:07 AM and 4:17 AM, followed by more frequent morning trips.
The service cycle continues after midnight. A departure shown at 12:33 AM or 1:30 AM may belong to the next calendar day.

Daytime departures are more frequent, with different Saturday and Sunday patterns.
Important: These overnight times describe scheduled terminal departures, not exact times at every intermediate stop. Check the trip’s day-of-service designation when planning after midnight.
Does MTA B14 Run on Saturday and Sunday?
Yes. The MTA’s schedule data includes Saturday and Sunday trips. Weekday rush-hour service is generally more frequent than Sunday service. Do not assume a Saturday bus will arrive at the same time as a weekday trip.

MTA B14 Stops: Crown Heights, Brownsville, East New York & Spring Creek
The following diagram shows the main travel corridor toward Spring Creek. It is a schematic, not a street-scale geographic map.
Important Brooklyn B14 Stops
Crown Heights terminal area, with nearby subway and bus connections.
Important Brownsville corridor stop. Verify the appropriate side of the road.
A key part of the B14’s route through Brownsville and East New York.
Useful boarding area in East New York, with connections requiring stop-level verification.
Part of the eastern Sutter Avenue corridor. Confirm the direction before boarding.
The Spring Creek terminal. Confirm the stop location and return departure.
Stops Vary by Direction
The Crown Heights-bound bus and Spring Creek-bound bus do not follow identical street and stop sequences everywhere.

- Open MTA Bus Time for B14.
- Choose Crown Heights/Utica Avenue or Spring Creek/Postal Facility.
- Scroll through the official stop list.
- Select the intersection where you plan to board.

- Check whether buses are approaching that specific stop.
- Read any current stop-closure or detour notice.
Nearby Bus Connection: Q8
Travelers continuing toward Jamaica, Ozone Park, Euclid Avenue or Gateway Center can investigate MTA Q8 as a separate nearby route. Our Q8 schedule guide for East New York, Gateway Center and Jamaica explains its stops, alternative terminals and OMNY boarding rules.
The Q8 is not a branch of the B14. Use the MTA trip planner to confirm whether a convenient connection actually exists for your starting point.
London B14 Bus Schedule: Bexleyheath to Orpington
London’s B14 runs from Bexleyheath Library to Orpington Station via Danson Road, Sidcup, Queen Mary’s Hospital, St Mary Cray and Orpington High Street.
The route operates every day, with many departures around 30 minutes apart. Individual stop times depend on direction, weekday, weekend and temporary traffic conditions.
London B14: First and Last Bus Examples
These selected stop-level examples come from TfL’s B14 information for Sidcup/Carlton Road toward Orpington Station. They are not departures from the Bexleyheath terminal.
| Day | First three listed times | Last three listed times |
|---|---|---|
| Monday–Friday | 05:23, 05:53, 06:23 | 23:18, 23:49, 00:19 |
| Saturday | 05:19, 05:49, 06:19 | 23:19, 23:49, 00:19 |
| Sunday | 05:21, 05:51, 06:21 | 23:20, 23:50, 00:20 |
Source: TfL’s Sidcup/Carlton Road stop page for B14. Times after 00:00 occur after midnight. Check your actual stop, because first and last departures differ throughout the route.
Another London B14 Example: Orpington War Memorial
First listed B14 at High Street/Orpington War Memorial toward Orpington Station.
First listed departure at that same stop.
First listed Sunday departure at that stop.
This demonstrates why searching only for “first B14 bus” is not enough. The first bus at Orpington War Memorial is later than the first listed bus at Sidcup/Carlton Road because it is farther along the Orpington-bound route.
How Often Does London B14 Run?
Recent TfL timetable data shows approximately 30-minute intervals for much of the day. Some trips may run slightly earlier or later depending on service day, stop and operating conditions.
The B14 is not a frequent 5-minute city-centre bus. If you miss one, the next scheduled bus may be around half an hour away.

B14 Bus Fare: New York vs London
The B14 fare depends on the transit operator. NYC MTA and London TfL have separate currencies, payment systems and transfer rules.
Standard local-bus fare under the MTA’s 2026 fare structure.
Adult pay-as-you-go fare through October 31, 2026.
New adult pay-as-you-go fare effective November 1, 2026.
NYC MTA B14 Fare Details
Applies to regular adult local-bus trips.
Generally available to qualifying seniors and people with disabilities.
Qualifying local-bus and subway rides using the same payment credential.
The MTA’s 2026 fare changes increased the ordinary local bus fare to $3.00 and the rolling seven-day fare cap to $35.00. Check the current OMNY fare rules before assuming every type of trip qualifies for the cap.
How to Pay the Brooklyn B14 Fare
- Prepare a contactless bank card, supported mobile wallet or OMNY card.
- Enter through the designated boarding door.
- Tap the OMNY reader.
- Wait for payment confirmation.
- Use the same payment credential for qualifying transfers and fare capping.
MTA’s 2026 fare materials also describe the phase-out of MetroCard sales and later changes to onboard coin acceptance. For travel after those transitions, use the current MTA payment page rather than relying on older cash-fare instructions.
Check MTA’s current fares and payment methods.
How to Pay on London’s B14
- Have an Oyster card or eligible contactless card/device ready.
- Board the bus at the designated entrance.
- Touch the yellow reader with the selected payment method.

London buses are cashless. TfL’s Hopper fare allows qualifying additional bus or tram journeys within one hour of first touching in, using the same card or device.
Scheduled B14 Time vs Live Bus Arrival
Scheduled time is the planned timetable. Live arrival is a prediction from available real-time vehicle information. Traffic, construction, weather, route diversions, service interruptions and GPS issues can change the prediction.

Brooklyn MTA B14 Alerts
Use the MTA’s service-alert tool to check for B14 detours, bus delays and temporary boarding changes along Pitkin Avenue, Sutter Avenue and the surrounding Brooklyn streets.
Open current MTA service alerts.
London B14 Alerts
TfL’s B14 stop information has reported an access issue and diversion affecting the The Temple area, with buses using Cray Avenue because of a building fire. This is a time-sensitive notice, not a permanent route description.
Before traveling through St Mary Cray or Orpington, check whether any diversion is still active and whether a replacement stop is listed.
Check TfL B14 route status and stop information.
How to Find the Correct B14 Bus Time Step by Step
- Choose your city. Identify Brooklyn MTA or London TfL.
- Open the official agency page. Do not rely only on a search snippet or old PDF.
- Confirm the route. Check that it says B14, not Route 14 or another nearby route.
- Select the direction. Match the final destination displayed on the bus.
- Choose the service date. Check weekday, Saturday, Sunday, school-day or holiday information as appropriate.
- Select your stop. Use an exact intersection, stop code or TfL stop letter.
- Read the scheduled time. Confirm whether the displayed time is a terminal departure or your stop-specific boarding time.
- Check the fare. Prepare OMNY for New York or Oyster/contactless for London.
- Review current arrivals and alerts. Check delays, diversions and stop changes.
- Arrive early. Allow around 5–10 minutes at an ordinary local stop, with more time for unfamiliar terminals or accessible boarding.
What to Do If Your B14 Bus Is Late or Missing
Check whether there is scheduled service at that stop and time. A missing GPS prediction does not automatically mean the trip is canceled.
Confirm the vehicle’s destination, whether the stop is active and whether a temporary diversion is in effect. Report unsafe or unexplained skipped stops to the operator.
Check the direction and physical stop marker. For Brooklyn, use the MTA stop code; for London, use the TfL stop letter and route listing.
Check the date of the PDF or timetable and compare it with the current official route page. Older London B14 maps may predate the Orpington extension.
Check an alternative subway, railway or local bus journey. Confirm the exact late-night service rather than assuming another route runs all night.
Check the operator’s suggested alternative and confirm its accessible pedestrian path before starting the trip.
B14 Bus Boarding Checklist
- Brooklyn or London confirmed.
- Correct transit agency selected.

- Exact boarding stop identified.
- Stop code or stop letter checked.

A few minutes of preparation can prevent a long wait, especially during late-night service in Brooklyn or the approximately half-hourly B14 service in London.
