TheRide operates fixed-route buses across the greater Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area. Current fall service adjustments took effect August 23, 2026, and downtown Ann Arbor boarding remains temporarily changed because the Blake Transit Center is closed during Fourth Avenue construction.

Important downtown warning: Blake Transit Center is temporarily closed during the Fourth Avenue project. Many Ann Arbor routes now board on Fifth Avenue or Washington Street instead.

How to read TheRide schedules

Route Number → Direction → Timepoint → Exact Stop

TheRide explains that route schedules use timepoints — major stops used to show scheduled departure times. A neighborhood stop between two timepoints may not appear in the printed table. Use Track My Bus for the exact stop.

B Route

C Travel

D Major

F Departure

Timepoints are not every stop Use the nearest timepoint as a timetable reference, then check Track My Bus for your actual stop.
Route variations matter Some trips may use letters such as A or B for slightly different street patterns. Match the variation on the schedule and bus display.
Arrive early TheRide’s schedule tool tells riders to be at the stop a few minutes before the scheduled departure.

AATA / AAATA Bus Schedule Questions

Where can I find the current AATA bus schedule?

Are transfers free on TheRide?

Yes. Fixed-route transfers are free and valid for 90 minutes from the time they are issued. Ask the driver for a transfer when boarding.
