Open UTA’s official Schedules and Maps page, search the route number or name, select the travel day, choose the correct direction and tap a stop to view its scheduled times.
For a live prediction, enter the six-digit Stop ID in Ride Time by texting it to 882-882, use the Transit app or open UTA’s Vehicle Locator.
Date warning: schedules used before Sunday, August 16 may differ from schedules used after Fall Change Day. Routes 54, 205, 470 and 472 receive routing changes, while many other routes receive timing adjustments.

North Utah County On Demand: the zone officially launches with Fall Change Day, but service begins Monday, August 17 because UTA On Demand does not operate on Sundays.
Understand UTA Route Types Before Reading the Schedule
Regular Local Bus
Fixed routes follow a published path and timetable. The standard local fare is $2.50 and includes a two-hour transfer window when the correct fare media is used.
Bus Rapid Transit
MVX, OGX and UVX use a simplified corridor with enhanced stops and rail-like operation. Fare rules differ by route.
Flex Routes
Routes beginning with F follow a fixed path but can make a prearranged deviation up to three-quarters of a mile.
UTA On Demand
Shared curb-to-curb microtransit operates inside designated zones and can connect riders with bus, TRAX and FrontRunner.
Express and Limited Routes
These routes may run only during peak periods, skip stops or charge the $5 premium-service fare.
Seasonal Ski Bus
Canyon routes operate during the winter season according to resort opening dates, road conditions and UTA’s winter schedule.
How Often Do UTA Buses Run?
UTA’s schedule directory separates routes into frequent, 30–60 minute, Flex, rush-hour or limited, and seasonal service. Frequency varies by route, direction, time of day and day of week.

This is essential around April, August and December Change Days.
Select the correct direction.
Match the terminal or destination shown on the approaching bus.
Tap the intended stop.
The same intersection can have different Stop IDs for opposite directions.
Check Ride Time.
Text the six-digit Stop ID to 882-882 shortly before leaving.
Read temporary signs.
Construction may move the boarding point while the permanent stop pole remains visible.

Regular riders are capped at $5 per day and $20 per Sunday–Saturday week on eligible local services.
Reduced local cap
Reduced Fare FAREPAY riders are capped at $2 per day and $8 per week on eligible local services.
UVX payment difference: UVX buses do not accept cash and its platforms do not have ticket vending machines. Use FAREPAY, an active Transit app ticket or a valid transfer.
UTA Zero-Fare Bus Services
Midvalley Express — 50X
MVX is zero fare through Spring Change Day 2029.
Ogden Express — 603X
OGX remains zero fare through Spring Change Day 2028.
Ogden Trolley — 601
Route 601 is listed as a zero-fare service.
Downtown Salt Lake Free Fare Zone: a bus or TRAX trip is free only when both boarding and exiting occur inside the published zone. Riding beyond the zone requires valid fare.
UTA Bus Rapid Transit: MVX, OGX and UVX
50X Midvalley Express
Runs between West Valley Central and Murray Central through Taylorsville and the SLCC Taylorsville campus. Launched April 12, 2026.
603X Ogden Express
Connects Ogden Central, Weber State University and McKay-Dee Hospital along an enhanced rapid-bus corridor.
830X Utah Valley Express
Connects Orem Central, UVU, BYU and Provo Central. UVX does not operate on Sunday.
Do not assume all BRT is free: MVX and OGX have current zero-fare promotions, while UVX charges the standard local fare.
How UTA Flex Route Deviations Work
Flex routes follow a fixed schedule but may leave the published path by up to three-quarters of a mile for an approved deviation.

Confirm that the route number begins with F.
Check boundary
The requested location must fall within the permitted area.
Book ahead
Request the deviation between two hours and seven days before travel.
Confirm time
The bus still follows its published route schedule.

Add the $1.25 deviation charge.

UTA On Demand Zones, Booking and August 2026 Expansion
UTA On Demand is a shared curb-to-curb service that connects riders with neighborhood destinations and fixed routes inside designated zones.
Existing service areas
South Davis County, Salt Lake City Westside, Southern Salt Lake County, Tooele County and West Provo/Orem.
North Utah County
Service begins August 17 in portions of Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Highland, Cedar Hills and Alpine.

$2.50 regular or $1 for qualified reduced-fare riders, including eligible two-hour transfers.
Typical high-demand wait
UTA states that waits can reach 15–30 minutes during busy periods.

Accessible vehicle
Select wheelchair accessibility in the rider profile so future trips request an accessible van.
North Utah County trip limit: the new zone is intended for short local trips and normally limits travel to six miles, with possible exceptions for direct FrontRunner connections.
UTA Bus and Rail Service to Utah Airports
Salt Lake City International Airport
TRAX Green Line connects directly with Airport Station outside the terminal. UTA publishes daily airport service from approximately 5:21 a.m. to 11:21 p.m.
Provo Airport — Route 833
Route 833 operates hourly between Provo Airport and Provo Central Station, where riders can connect with FrontRunner, UVX and local buses.
Sunday warning: Route 833, FrontRunner and UVX do not operate on Sunday. Use the official planner to identify a Sunday alternative.

UTA Bus Accessibility and Paratransit
Accessible fixed-route buses
UTA states that fixed-route buses have a lift or low-floor ramp and a kneeling feature for riders who need easier boarding.
Mobility-device securement
Riders using mobility devices occupy a securement location, and the operator assists with securement.
Paratransit eligibility
UTA Paratransit serves qualified riders who cannot independently use fixed-route bus or TRAX under some or all conditions.
Ready-to-ride window
Paratransit riders must be prepared during the assigned 30-minute window and board within five minutes after the vehicle arrives.
Beyond-the-curb help
Extra assistance to the first exterior door may be available when requested and when it can be provided safely.
Travel training
Seniors, riders with disabilities and new riders can call 801-287-2275 for UTA travel-training information.
Accessible bus versus accessible stop: a bus ramp cannot fix a blocked sidewalk, snowbank, steep slope or inaccessible temporary boarding point. Contact UTA when the stop cannot be used safely.
Bikes, Strollers and Large Items on UTA Buses
Bike racks
UTA states that all buses have exterior bicycle racks. Capacity is limited and available first come, first served.
Removing a bicycle
Tell the bus operator that you need to remove your bike before walking in front of the bus.
Strollers
Strollers must be foldable and fit safely on ramps or lifts.
Priority seating
A stroller or large item may use priority seating only when the area is not needed by an older rider or rider with a disability.
Securement space
Wheelchair and mobility-device users have priority over strollers and other large items.
Aisles and doors
Keep bags, bicycles, strollers and personal items from blocking aisles, doors and emergency exits.

Route-specific alerts
Sign up for email or text notices when construction or events affect your regular route.
Snow routing
Winter weather can move stops, delay canyon routes or place buses on an alternate snow path.
Holiday schedules
Digital schedules identify holiday service. UTA runs regular service on some holidays and alternate service on others.
Bus bridges
UTA may operate replacement buses when construction suspends a TRAX or FrontRunner segment.
Temporary stops
Read the alert for the replacement corner rather than waiting at a closed permanent stop.

Do not hard-code a detour into your normal trip: temporary routing should be checked on the travel day because it can end early or be extended.

UVX will not accept cash

The Flex bus did not deviate

On Demand offers a regular bus instead
