Plan an SRTA Trip in New Bedford or Fall River

How to Find Your Exact SRTA Bus Time

There is no accurate system-wide “first SRTA bus” or “last SRTA bus.” Each route has its own weekday and weekend timetable, and some routes operate considerably later than others.

3. Match direction Look for inbound/outbound or the destination/timepoint that matches your trip.

Current fare information

SRTA Bus Fare & CharlieCard Prices

SRTA’s current fare page lists cash, CharlieCard, pass and demand-response prices. An earlier fare-free program was explicitly extended through June 30, 2026; the current fare page now displays the regular fare structure below.

Cash full fare $1.50 Fixed-route bus

Exact fare should be paid when boarding. Drivers do not make cash change.

CharlieCard full fare $1.25 Discounted fixed-route fare

CharlieCard riders pay less than the standard $1.50 cash fare.

Reduced cash fare $0.75 Qualified reduced-fare riders

Check SRTA eligibility rules before relying on a reduced fare.

Reduced CharlieCard $0.60 Qualified riders

Eligible riders can receive the lower CharlieCard reduced rate.

Children age 6–11 $0.75 Child fare

Children younger than 6 ride free under SRTA’s current fare information.

Cash transfer 1 Free 90-minute rule

The cash transfer applies from an inbound bus to an outbound bus within the stated transfer window.

CharlieCard transfer advantage: SRTA lists one two-hour transfer from any bus to any bus in any direction when using CharlieCard.
Buying fare media vs paying onboard: SRTA says terminals, ticket vending machines and ticket agents can accept cash, debit or credit for fare-media purchases. Do not assume a bank card can simply be handed to the bus driver as an onboard payment method.
