Quick answer

Where Can I Find the SporTran Bus Schedule?

The official SporTran Schedules & Maps page provides the updated routes and timetable PDFs for Shreveport and Bossier City.

Choose your route, check whether you need weekday, alternate/night, Saturday or Sunday service, and read the time at your own stop rather than using only the terminal departure.

Weekday service

Numbered daytime routes, connector buses and loop services have individual Monday–Friday timetables.

Night & weekend service

Routes such as 101, 102, 106 and 108 serve broader combined corridors during selected alternate periods.

Live arrival tracking

Use SporTran’s official Where’s My Bus / myStop tool to find vehicles, stops and upcoming departures.

2026 route-change warning: the main SporTran schedule page says the redesigned network took effect September 6. Some older indexed schedules show different route names, numbers or weekend services. Use the current official page and not an old screenshot or third-party route list.

SporTran Routes & Schedules — Updated Directory

SporTran’s official route directory separates regular Monday–Friday lines from alternate weekday/night and weekend networks.

Route 11

Route 15

Regular weekday Linwood service. Evening travel may require the combined Route 101 Line/Linwood schedule.

Weekday service for northern Bossier City. Check stop locations and connections with other Bossier routes.

Additional weekday listing

Hearne / East Kings Highway

Published in the September 2026 directory under this corridor name. Use the official listing to confirm its current route identification and timetable.

Route-name caution: some older SporTran schedules label routes differently. The directory above follows the current September 2026 listing. For a route not shown here, check the official schedule directory rather than assuming it has been discontinued.
Saturday and Sunday

SporTran Weekend Bus Schedule: Which Routes Run?

SporTran publishes a smaller weekend route set than the regular Monday–Friday network. The current official directory lists the following Saturday and Sunday services.

Route Service name Saturday Sunday
20 Downtown Circular Published schedule Published schedule
101 Line / Linwood Published schedule Published schedule
102 Hearne / Jewella Published schedule Published schedule
106 North Market / MLK Published schedule Published schedule

Weekend route warning: Routes 101, 102, 106 and 108 cover combined corridors and are not necessarily identical to their weekday numbered-route counterparts. On weekends, use the weekend PDF rather than the weekday Route 14, 15, 2 or 3 timetable.

Sunday Route 20 Downtown Circular — Selected Times

The official Sunday PDF gives these departures from the downtown Intermodal Terminal and arrival times back at the same terminal.

Alternate and late-night routes

SporTran Night Bus Schedule: Route 101, 102, 106 & 108

SporTran operates alternate route patterns for evening and weekend travel. The official September 2026 directory lists:

101 — Line / Linwood

Combined Line Avenue and Linwood corridor. The published weekday night timetable includes service continuing after midnight.

102 — Hearne / Jewella

Combined corridor service. Use the official alternate or weekend schedule rather than a daytime timetable for a different route.

106 — North Market / MLK

Serves the North Market and Martin Luther King Drive corridors with an alternate schedule.

108 — Greenwood / Pines Road

Provides alternate service for the Greenwood and Pines Road corridor.

Youree Drive / Shreveport-Barksdale

A separately published alternate, Saturday and Sunday service in the current directory.

20 — Downtown Circular

Route 20 also has separate Saturday and Sunday PDFs, including late Saturday trips.

Route 101 Night Schedule — Actual Weekday Departures

For Route 101 Line/Linwood, the official weekday alternate schedule lists these departures from SporTran Intermodal Terminal.

Last Route 101 night trip: the published weekday PDF lists a final Intermodal departure at 11:50 PM with a scheduled return at 1:10 AM the next day. That does not mean every SporTran route operates until 1:10 AM.
After-midnight date rule: a 12:07 AM or 1:10 AM time in a late-night timetable belongs to the following calendar day. Confirm the service date when planning Friday night, Saturday night or holiday travel.

How loop buses work

SporTran Loop Schedules: Downtown, Fairgrounds & Metro Loops

A loop bus may return to its starting terminal or transfer hub after visiting several destinations. The route name alone does not tell you the direction or stop order.

Route 20 Downtown Circular

Downtown loop including SporTran Intermodal Terminal, Fairmont Apartments, Texas/Market, Clyde Fant and central Shreveport stops.

Fairgrounds / Lakeshore Loops

These appear as separate loop directions in the official weekday directory. Confirm which one serves your stop first.

Metro Loops 31 & 32

Both are listed as separate weekday routes. Use the specific PDF to check stop order and connection points.

Transfer centers and boarding hubs

SporTran Transit Centers: Addresses, Transfers & Maps

Not every SporTran route starts downtown. The redesigned network uses several transfer locations, so the correct hub may be more useful than looking only for the Intermodal Terminal.

SporTran Intermodal Terminal

Address: 1237 Murphy Street, Shreveport, LA 71101.

Major downtown transfer location with scheduled departures, customer assistance and connections among routes.

Published lobby hours: Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–1:00 AM; Saturday 7:00 AM–1:00 AM; Sunday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Current fare policy

How Much Is the SporTran Bus Fare in 2026?

Shreveport–Bossier Zero Fare Program $0 Published fare for covered fixed-route and OnDemand trips

SporTran’s current official fare page says that all SporTran and SporTran OnDemand services within Shreveport–Bossier City limits are free.

Under this Zero Fare program, riders do not need to purchase a regular bus ticket for those covered rides.

Regular bus $0

Covered fixed-route travel within the stated city limits.

OnDemand $0

Covered SporTran OnDemand trips. Booking and service zones still apply.

Transfers $0

No regular transfer charge under the agency’s Zero Fare program.

Schedule PDFs FREE

Official maps and timetables can be accessed at no charge.

Coverage limitation: the current fare page specifically describes free travel within Shreveport–Bossier City limits. For any special service, outside-area trip or future policy change, check SporTran directly instead of assuming the $0 policy applies universally.

Verify SporTran’s current Zero Fare policy.

What Time Do SporTran Buses Start & Stop Running?

OnDemand alternative

SporTran OnDemand Schedule, Booking & Service Areas

SporTran OnDemand is a separate transportation service using the RideCo-powered SporTran OnDemand app. It is not identical to boarding a fixed-route bus from a published timetable.

Instead of simply waiting for a bus at a scheduled stop, eligible riders request a trip within a supported OnDemand zone and booking rules.

Trip booking

Use the official SporTran OnDemand app and choose your requested pickup and destination within the supported service area.

Fare

The agency states that covered OnDemand trips are free under the current Zero Fare program.

ADA mobility

The agency has integrated its former LiftLine paratransit program into SporTran OnDemand, with eligibility and specialized booking arrangements.

OnDemand is not an unlimited citywide taxi. Pickup areas, service zones, available times, vehicle types and ADA eligibility requirements are controlled by SporTran. Review the current service map and policies before booking.

Holiday bus service

SporTran Holiday Schedule: Does the Bus Run?

SporTran’s current schedule page lists several no-service holidays. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is marked as an exception operating the Sunday schedule with administrative offices closed.

Holiday Published service guidance
New Year’s Day No service listed
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Sunday schedule; administrative offices closed
Memorial Day No service listed
Independence Day No service listed
Labor Day No service listed
Thanksgiving Day No service listed
Christmas Day No service listed
Holiday schedule warning: the agency page groups Martin Luther King Jr. Day under its holiday heading but explicitly says it runs the Sunday schedule. Do not treat it as a complete shutdown. Always check announcements for current-year exceptions.

Verify current holiday service announcements.

Accessible transit

SporTran Wheelchair Access, ADA Paratransit & Rider Assistance

SporTran states that its fixed-route buses are accessible and equipped with boarding accommodations, including lifts and kneeling features. Riders should still confirm the condition and location of their intended boarding stop.

Fixed-route accessibility

Use the designated bus stop, request the boarding assistance you need and follow operator instructions for safe boarding.

SporTran OnDemand / ADA

ADA paratransit services formerly branded LiftLine are now incorporated into the OnDemand program, with separate eligibility and booking rules.

Accessible transfer hubs

Confirm an accessible route between the platform, curb, waiting area and your connecting service, especially during construction or stop changes.

Important accessibility distinction: a fixed-route bus may be wheelchair accessible, but a particular stop or path may have temporary barriers. Contact SporTran if you need a specific accommodation or accessible pickup arrangement.

Practical boarding guide

How to Ride SporTran: Simple Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 — Plan the journey

Find your starting point and destination in Shreveport or Bossier City. Check whether fixed-route service or OnDemand is appropriate.

Step 2 — Select the correct schedule

Choose the official route PDF matching your weekday, night, Saturday, Sunday or holiday travel plan.

Step 3 — Confirm boarding point

Identify the correct terminal bay, transfer hub or street stop. Check the direction and stop name.

Step 4 — Check live arrival

Use SporTran myStop or the official app, and read any active service message before heading out.

Step 5 — Board the bus

Check the route number and destination. Fixed-route rides covered by the Zero Fare program do not require a regular ticket purchase.

Step 6 — Transfer or exit

At a hub, confirm the next route’s departure bay. For your final stop, follow the operator’s safe exiting instructions.

Useful timing rule: reach the stop at least five minutes before the listed departure where practicable. Allow more time for a transfer, unfamiliar terminal, mobility need or route operating at longer intervals.

SporTran Bus Troubleshooting: What If the Bus Is Late or Missing?

My bus is not showing on the tracker

Verify the route number, service day and direction. A missed GPS prediction does not automatically mean the scheduled bus is cancelled.

The weekend route number is different

Use the current Saturday or Sunday PDF. SporTran’s alternate routes combine corridors that are served by different daytime routes.

The terminal has moved or the bay changed

Check SporTran alerts, the current terminal signs and any new hub information. Do not rely on an old 2025 diagram.

A loop or connector may show departure, arrival and a second departure. Match the proper column and direction to the trip you need.

My regular route ends in the afternoon

Check the alternate/night schedule for your corridor. The late-night route may have a different number, route map or frequency.

The stop or route has changed

Open the September 2026 schedule directory and compare the official current map with the route you previously used.
