Broward County Bus Routes and Schedule Numbers

Broward County Transit publishes separate route schedules for local buses, Breeze limited-stop service and premium express buses. The following regular-route numbers appear in the agency’s current schedule directory.

1 2 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 14 15 16 18 19 20 22 23 28 30 31 34 36 40 42 48 50 55 56 60 62 72 81 83 88

Limited-Stop and Express Route Numbers

101 441 106 108 109 110 114 115
Not every route operates every day. BCT’s current directory labels routes 15, 23 and 56 as weekday services. Breeze routes 101 and 441 and the listed premium express routes are also shown with weekday schedules. Do not assume a bus is available on Sunday simply because another BCT route operates seven days a week.

How to Open the Correct Route PDF

  1. Open BCT Maps and Schedules.
  2. Scroll to Fixed-Route Regular Service, Breeze Routes or Express Routes.
  3. Locate your route number.
  4. Choose the Full Week or Weekday PDF link beside it.
  5. Check the effective date on the cover.
  6. Find the direction and service-day heading.
  7. Read across the same trip to identify the correct time.
  8. Use RideBCT for newer stop-specific arrival information.

When a PDF opens to a map instead of a timetable, scroll through the following pages. BCT documents typically provide timepoint tables, the route map, direction labels and operating notes within the same file.

Actual timetable examples

Broward Bus Times: Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays

Broward County does not have one universal first or last bus. Each route has its own starting time, ending time, frequency and weekend pattern. A bus leaving Sawgrass Mills or Broward Central Terminal may reach your neighborhood stop 10, 30 or more minutes afterward.

The examples below show how real BCT timetables work. They are selected trips from official route PDFs, not live arrivals or guaranteed times for every service date.

Route 83 Weekday: Coral Ridge to Copans Road / US 1

The following complete eastbound example appears in BCT’s Route 83 schedule effective May 24, 2026.

Route 83 timepoint Scheduled time
Coral Ridge Drive & Sample Road 7:16 AM
St. Andrews Towers 7:27 AM
Royal Palm Boulevard & University Drive 7:32 AM
Copans Road & US 441 7:44 AM
Copans Road & Powerline Road 7:55 AM
Copans Road & US 1 8:07 AM
Route 83 example 51 min Scheduled complete trip: 7:16 AM to 8:07 AM.
Another eastbound example 51 min The same PDF lists an 8:01 AM departure reaching Copans Road/US 1 at 8:52 AM.

Travel durations are calculated from individual scheduled timepoints. They do not include walking, waiting, traffic delays or a transfer to another bus.

Route 36 Example: Sawgrass Mills to A1A

BCT Route 36 travels along Sunrise Boulevard between Sawgrass Mills and A1A. Its published PDF is marked effective October 26, 2025.

Selected Route 36 eastbound weekday trip

7:15 AM
2 University Dr
7:36 AM
3 Lauderhill TC arrival
8:00 AM
4 Lauderhill TC departure

5 Powerline Rd

6 Sunrise Blvd / A1A
8:48 AM

Source: official Route 36 PDF effective October 26, 2025. This schematic shows selected timepoints, not a geographic road map. Confirm the current timetable before relying on the example.

Why Lauderhill appears twice Some BCT timetables distinguish arrival and departure at a major transit center. In the Route 36 example, the bus is scheduled to arrive at Lauderhill Transit Center at 8:00 AM and depart at 8:05 AM. A transfer passenger should use the departure time and confirm the correct bay.

Open the official Route 36 timetable and route map.

What Time Does Broward Transit Start and Stop Running?

There is no countywide first-bus or last-bus time. Some busy routes begin before 5 AM and operate late into the evening, while weekday-only services have shorter spans. A few routes have later service than others, but that does not mean BCT operates a full 24-hour network.

To find your actual first or last bus, open the route’s newest PDF and check the first and final trip that serves your specific stop. If you need to travel after midnight, confirm the calendar date carefully.

Destination-based route finder

Which Broward Bus Goes to Your Destination?

Many riders do not know the bus number; they only know where they need to go. BCT publishes an official destinations directory to help match common shopping, airport and transportation locations with route numbers.

Destination BCT routes shown What to check
Aventura Mall 1, 28, 101 Route 101 is weekday limited-stop; Route 1 is a local alternative.
Sawgrass Mills Mall 22, 23, 36, 72 Choose the corridor nearest your starting point; Route 23 is weekday-only.
Broward Mall 2, 12, 22, 81 Check West Regional Terminal and mall-area stop locations.
Coral Ridge Mall 10, 20, 72 Match the nearby road and boarding side.
Galleria Mall 36, 40 Check which route reaches the nearest usable stop.
Pompano Citi Centre 10, 11, 83 Review construction notices before traveling.
Lauderhill Mall 18, 19, 36, 40, 81, 441 Check the Lauderhill transfer center and direction.
Pembroke Lakes Mall 5, 7, 8, 16, 23 Some services have different weekend patterns.
Fort Lauderdale Brightline area 1, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 20, 22, 30, 31, 40, 50, 60, 81, 101 Confirm actual walking distance to the station entrance.
FLL International Airport 1 BCT boarding is at the Rental Car Center, Stop 7.
Shopping center stop tip A bus route serving a mall does not necessarily stop beside the entrance you want. Check the stop location before leaving the store, especially at Sawgrass Mills and Pembroke Lakes Mall where entrances and walking distances can vary.

Open BCT’s official destination-to-route directory and match your destination with the listed bus number.

Airport bus guide

Which Broward Bus Goes to Fort Lauderdale Airport?

BCT Route 1 serves Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) as part of its US 1 corridor between Broward Central Terminal and Aventura Mall.

Airport route 1 BCT local bus via US 1.
BCT boarding location Stop 7 Rental Car Center.
Regular adult fare $2.00 Standard BCT local fare.

FLL Airport to Broward Transit: Step by Step

  1. After landing, collect your luggage.
  2. Follow airport signs for the Rental Car Center.
  3. Use the airport’s designated connection to reach the Rental Car Center when needed.
  4. Locate BCT Route 1 at Stop 7.
  5. Check whether your bus is heading toward Broward Central Terminal or Aventura Mall.
  6. Open the latest Route 1 timetable or RideBCT app to confirm the next departure.
  7. Prepare the accepted fare and board at the marked BCT stop.
Do not assume Route 1 picks up at every airline terminal. The airport identifies its BCT bus stop at the Rental Car Center, Stop 7. Allow time to reach that location from your airline terminal, especially when carrying luggage.

FLL Airport to Tri-Rail

Tri-Rail is a separate rail service. The airport provides free shuttle buses to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport Tri-Rail Station in the Dania Beach area.

Airport shuttle boarding locations are listed on the lower level at the west end of Terminal 1, between Terminals 2 and 3, and between Terminals 3 and 4. Confirm the current airport signage before boarding.

For a rail trip to Miami or Palm Beach County, compare the Route 1 local-bus journey with the airport-to-Tri-Rail shuttle and onward train schedule.

Open FLL Airport’s public transportation instructions.

95 Express, 595 Express and 75 Express

Broward Express Bus Schedule to Miami

BCT operates weekday express commuter routes from Broward park-and-ride locations toward Miami-Dade County. These are different from regular local buses and generally concentrate service around morning and afternoon commuting periods.

Express route Origin Destination Service
95 Express 106 Miramar Regional Park Miami Civic Center Weekdays
95 Express 108 Miramar Park & Ride Miami Civic Center Weekdays
95 Express 109 C.B. Smith Park / Miramar Park & Ride Downtown Miami Weekdays
595 Express 110 Amerant Bank Arena Miami / Brickell Weekdays
595 Express 114 Amerant Bank Arena / Davie Park & Ride Miami Civic Center Weekdays
75 Express 115 Miramar Park & Ride Miami Intermodal Center via Jackson West Medical Center and The Landings Weekdays
Express buses are not necessarily all-day services. A route with several morning departures might have no useful midday trip. Check the direction and full weekday timetable, especially when arranging a medical appointment or a return from work.

How to Use a Broward Park & Ride

  1. Open BCT’s express-route schedules.
  2. Identify the park-and-ride location used by your route.
  3. Check the correct entrance and boarding point.
  4. Select the morning or afternoon timetable.
  5. Read the departure time at your specific park-and-ride.
  6. Confirm your Miami destination stop.
  7. Check the last return departure from Miami before starting the trip.

For onward trips within Miami-Dade County after arriving at Civic Center, Downtown Miami, Brickell or the Miami Intermodal Center, our Miami-Dade Metrobus routes, fares and transfer guide explains the local network and current trip-planning options. Remember that BCT and Miami-Dade use different fares and transfer rules.

Important fare rule

Are Broward Bus Transfers Free?

No. BCT does not automatically provide free transfers between regular Broward County buses when you pay a single cash fare. If you need multiple regular BCT rides, consider an appropriate period pass or multi-ride product.

How Transfers Work

BCT regular bus → BCT regular bus

There is no automatic free transfer. A new fare or valid pass is needed for the next bus.

BCT local → BCT premium express

Eligible BCT pass holders pay the published $1.00 express upgrade fee. A rider using cash on the local bus must pay the appropriate full premium fare when boarding express service.

BCT → Other regional transit

Request a physical transfer ticket from the BCT operator when connecting to Miami-Dade Transit, Palm Tran or Tri-Rail. The connecting agency’s applicable fare still applies.

Transfers From Miami-Dade, Palm Tran or Tri-Rail to BCT

BCT’s published transfer policy provides a $0.50 regular fixed-route transfer fare in qualifying situations when riders have the appropriate transfer issued by Miami-Dade Transit or Palm Tran, or qualifying Tri-Rail proof of payment.

For Tri-Rail riders, the discounted BCT transfer conditions depend on where boarding occurs. A Tri-Rail passenger boarding BCT away from the station may have to pay the full fare.

Important regional payment difference Miami-Dade EASY Cards and Tri-Rail EASY Cards are not accepted as direct fare payment on BCT buses. A transfer ticket or qualifying proof of payment is not the same thing as tapping an EASY Card as a Broward bus fare.

For routes continuing north into Palm Beach County, see our Palm Tran route schedules, fares and West Palm Beach connection guide. Palm Tran operates its own network, so confirm the transfer and payment rules for both agencies.

Read BCT’s complete official transfer policy.

2026 official bus tracker

RideBCT: Broward Live Bus Tracking and Mobile Tickets

The current RideBCT app combines bus tracking, trip planning and mobile fare payment. Broward County introduced the updated system to reduce the need to switch between different transit apps.

Important: The former MyRide Broward website and app were scheduled for retirement effective February 28, 2026. Older route PDFs may still show the MyRide name or URL, but riders should use the current RideBCT tools instead.

1 Open RideBCT Use the official mobile app.
2 Enter route Search the BCT bus number.
3 Select direction Match the destination.
4 Choose stop Check the exact boarding point.
5 Check arrival Recheck prediction and alerts.

How to Get RideBCT

  1. Open BCT’s official mobile app page.
  2. Select the Apple App Store or Google Play link provided by the County.
  3. Install or update RideBCT.
  4. Open the app and choose the trip-planning or bus tracking function.
  5. Enter the route number, destination or stop.
  6. Select the correct direction and service day.
  7. Check the next arrival and any active notices.

Can You Buy Bus Passes in RideBCT?

Yes. The app supports mobile fare payment, including Apple Pay and Google Pay where available. Riders who previously used the BCT Mobile Ticketing App can use the updated RideBCT version.

BCT states that existing mobile ticket-wallet products are transferred to the updated app. Users may need to log out and back in to access the redesigned features.

QR code not scanning? BCT recommends increasing your phone’s screen brightness to maximum and positioning the long edge of the phone over the scanner as illustrated in its mobile-app instructions. Keep the screen clean and check that the farebox scanner is unobstructed.

Other Live Arrival Options

BCT also identifies Google Maps, SoFloGO, Transit and Moovit as sources for real-time BCT vehicle information.

If you need a visual explanation of selecting transit directions, comparing departures and checking walking distances between stops, our Google Maps bus directions and live arrival guide explains that workflow. For a last-minute detour, prioritize the current County notice over a cached map result.

Major Broward transfer locations

Broward Bus Stops, Transit Centers and Route Maps

BCT has several major transfer facilities where riders can connect between routes. Large terminals contain multiple boarding positions, so the terminal’s name alone does not identify the correct bus bay.

Broward Central Terminal

101 NW 1st Avenue, Fort Lauderdale

Located near Broward Boulevard in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. An important connection point for Routes 1, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 20, 22, 30, 31, 40, 50, 60, 81 and US 1 Breeze.

Terminal customer-service hours: Monday–Friday 6 AM–8 PM; weekends 8:45 AM–4:45 PM.

West Regional Terminal

100 N Pine Island Road, Plantation

Major western Broward connection area. Routes include 2, 12, 22, 30, 81 and 88.

Check the official bay assignments before moving between services.

Lauderhill Transit Center

1359 NW 40th Avenue, Lauderhill

Located at the Lauderhill Mall area. Serves routes including 18, 19, 36, 40 and 81.

Terminal customer-service hours: Monday–Friday 6 AM–8 PM; weekends 8:45 AM–4:45 PM.

Northeast Transit Center

304 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Pompano Beach

Transfer facility near Dixie Highway, connecting routes including 20, 42, 50 and 60.

Published customer-service hours vary by weekday, including Monday, Wednesday and Friday periods. Confirm office availability before visiting.

How to Find the Right Bus Bay

  1. Open BCT’s system map or the individual route schedule.
  2. Find the transit center’s bay-assignment diagram.
  3. Locate your bus number.
  4. Match the direction or destination sign.
  5. Check for temporary bay changes.
  6. Arrive at the correct bay at least five minutes early.
Easy mistake at transfer terminals A bus can stop at a major terminal without stopping at the same curb or bay as your next route. Allow walking time between boarding positions, particularly when using a wheelchair, stroller or heavy luggage.

Open BCT’s system map and transfer information.

Tri-Rail and Brightline

Broward Bus Connections to Train Stations

BCT buses connect with Tri-Rail commuter rail and Brightline station areas. The bus route, rail schedule and transfer fare are separate parts of your journey.

Rail connection BCT routes listed Travel tip
Fort Lauderdale Tri-Rail / Broward Boulevard 22 Confirm the walk between the bus stop and station entrance.
Cypress Creek Tri-Rail 14, 60, 62 Compare train arrival with the next BCT bus.
Sheridan Street Tri-Rail 12, 110 Route 110 is an express commuter service with limited operating periods.
Hollywood Boulevard Tri-Rail 7 Check the correct direction for Hollywood neighborhoods.
Golden Glades 18, 441 Useful for regional trips between Broward and Miami-Dade.
Fort Lauderdale Brightline area 1, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 20, 22, 30, 31, 40, 50, 60, 81, 101 Choose the closest stop and check the station’s actual entrance.

What to Do Before a Bus-to-Train Transfer

  1. Look up the BCT bus’s scheduled arrival near the station.
  2. Open the rail operator’s timetable independently.
  3. Allow time to walk between the bus stop and platform.
  4. Check whether the rail service is delayed.
  5. Confirm the relevant transfer ticket or fare-credit arrangement.
  6. Check the last bus for your return journey.

The route directory and BCT destinations listing identify connections to rail stations, but they do not guarantee that one bus meets every train departure.

2026 service updates

Broward Bus Schedule Changes and Current Detours

BCT adjusts schedules to improve running times, respond to traffic conditions and accommodate changes in demand. The latest prominently published countywide update took effect September 27, 2026.

Routes changed September 27, 2026 Regular routes 2, 5, 9, 12, 14, 19, 20, 30, 31, 34, 40, 48, 55, 62, 72, 81 and 88, plus express routes 106, 109 and 110. Check the newest route PDF for revised timepoints and service details.

Construction and Stop Alerts Reported in the BCT Directory

Fort Lauderdale: Routes 1 and 101

SE 3rd Avenue construction has appeared in current BCT rider alerts. Verify affected stops before traveling through Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Pompano Beach / Margate: Route 83

Construction notices have been listed around Copans Road and Pompano Citi Centre. Confirm stop access and any temporary boarding changes.

Route 40: Sunrise Boulevard

Bridge construction and related stop changes have appeared among published rider notices. Recheck before traveling toward the coast.

Route 62: East McNab Road

Bridge-closure notices have appeared in the alert directory. A detour can change the expected walking route and travel time.

Alert status is not permanent. These examples are notices visible during the 2026 source review. Their start dates, ending dates and affected stops may change. Use the current BCT alert display before leaving for your bus.

Heavy Rain and Flooding

South Florida weather can affect road access, bus speeds and temporary detours. BCT has published warnings that localized street flooding may delay or reroute buses.

For an important trip during severe weather, check RideBCT before leaving and call customer service if your stop or accessible boarding location is affected.

Open Broward County Transit’s current rider-alert homepage.

Local community transportation

Community Shuttles and Free Local Connections

In addition to its standard bus network, BCT works with municipalities on community shuttle services. These can be useful for reaching local shopping, libraries, residential communities and transfer stops without using a longer countywide route.

Community shuttle routes have their own maps, pickup locations and operating days. A city shuttle may not run as late as a regular BCT bus, and some municipal services are not operated on Sundays.

Fort Lauderdale LauderGO! Community Shuttle

Fort Lauderdale operates community shuttle connections including Beach Link, Las Olas Link and Downtown Link. The City’s service page describes these as free transportation options.

Beach Link

Useful for travel toward Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Check the day-specific route schedule and last return departure.

Las Olas Link

Serves the Las Olas Boulevard destination corridor.

Operating days and evening hours differ from other shuttle routes.

Downtown Link

Connects Downtown Fort Lauderdale destinations, including the Broward Central Terminal area.

The City lists weekday operation, so verify the schedule before weekend travel.

Do not confuse a free community shuttle with a $2 BCT bus. They are separate services with different routes, schedules and boarding instructions. Check the operator and route name before assuming the fare is free.

View Fort Lauderdale’s official LauderGO shuttle maps and schedules.

Special program for eligible workers

Need a Ride After the Last Broward Bus? Late Shift Connect

Not all BCT routes operate late at night. Broward’s Late Shift Connect program offers subsidized direct transportation for eligible people working shifts when regular bus service cannot provide their required trip.

Under the published program rider guide, qualifying work shifts begin or end during these periods:

Monday–Friday 9 PM–7 AM Qualifying late-shift window.
Saturday–Sunday 8 PM–7 AM Qualifying weekend late-shift window.

How Much Does Late Shift Connect Cost?

The published rider guide describes a $2 customer contribution per trip, with the program subsidizing up to $30 of the remaining metered fare. Any amount beyond the subsidy is the rider’s responsibility.

The program describes a limit of up to 10 approved work trips per week, subject to eligibility and current terms. Trips must meet the program’s work-related and geographic requirements.

How to Apply

  1. Open the official Late Shift Connect enrollment information.
  2. Check the work-shift and Broward County eligibility rules.
  3. Complete the required enrollment details.
  4. Provide the employment information requested for verification.
  5. Wait for approval and follow the payment-card instructions.
  6. Book eligible trips only through approved participating providers.
Not a general late-night taxi discount. Late Shift Connect is a conditional work-transportation program, not an unrestricted replacement for BCT buses. Do not assume every leisure, shopping or airport trip qualifies.

Open Late Shift Connect enrollment and program information.

Accessible transportation

Broward Bus Accessibility, Wheelchair Boarding and TOPS! Paratransit

BCT states that its fixed-route bus system is accessible, with wheelchair-accessible vehicles and major transfer facilities. Accessibility also depends on the physical bus stop, pedestrian route and any temporary construction conditions.

Accessible boarding

Passengers using mobility devices should check ramp or lift access, securement areas and available boarding assistance.

Accessible stops

BCT route documents identify accessibility symbols used on bus-stop signs. Check the actual stop and usable curb connection.

Reduced fares

Qualifying seniors, Medicare recipients and riders with disabilities may receive reduced fares subject to the agency’s documentation requirements.

What Is Broward TOPS! Paratransit?

TOPS! is BCT’s specialized paratransit program for qualifying individuals who cannot use fixed-route bus services under applicable eligibility rules.

It is a shared-ride service with its own reservation, eligibility and fare requirements. Disability alone does not automatically establish ADA paratransit eligibility; the application considers the person’s functional ability to use fixed-route transit.

Applying for ADA Paratransit

  1. Open BCT’s ADA paratransit application.
  2. Read the eligibility criteria.
  3. Complete all required sections and signatures.
  4. Provide required supporting information.
  5. Submit the application using the listed delivery method.
  6. Follow instructions for any required functional assessment.
  7. Wait for the formal eligibility decision before relying on TOPS! for scheduled transportation.

The official application identifies Paratransit@broward.org for submitting applications and requesting additional information.

Open the official BCT ADA paratransit application PDF.

Accessible trip planning tip For a hospital visit or other important appointment, check not only whether the bus is wheelchair accessible but also whether the final stop has a safe accessible path to the building entrance. If the route is temporarily detoured, call BCT to confirm an alternative.
Practical timetable instructions

How to Read a Broward Bus Timetable Correctly

BCT explains that its printed timetables show major intersections called timepoints. A timepoint is not necessarily every stop on the route. The bus may serve several additional signed stops between printed timepoints.

Use This Method

  1. Choose the current PDF for your route number.
  2. Read the effective date on the cover.
  3. Find the travel-day heading: Monday–Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
  4. Select the direction toward your destination.
  5. Identify your nearest timepoint on the map.
  6. Read the timetable horizontally to follow one scheduled trip.
  7. Check whether any symbol indicates a garage-bound trip or a shortened service.
  8. Use RideBCT for more precise information at an intermediate stop.
  9. Review alerts for temporary stop changes.
  10. Arrive at least five minutes before the planned boarding time.
What does “G” mean?

Some BCT timetables use a G after a time to indicate the bus returns to the garage. Do not assume that a garage-bound trip continues to every regular destination.

Why is my stop missing from the PDF?

The PDF normally shows major timepoints rather than every physical bus stop. Use the route map, stop sign and current tracker to identify intermediate-stop arrivals.

Common rider problems

Broward Bus Schedule Problems and Practical Fixes

The bus is not showing in the app.

Confirm the route, stop and service day. Check whether the tracker has current GPS data and whether a service alert reports a delay or detour.

The PDF shows MyRide Broward.

The printed PDF may predate the February 2026 retirement of MyRide. Use RideBCT or another current BCT-supported tracking option.

I was charged again on a second BCT bus.

BCT does not provide automatic free regular-bus transfers. Review whether an all-day, multi-day or multi-ride pass is more appropriate.

The QR ticket will not scan.

Increase phone brightness, check the active ticket and position the QR code over the farebox reader according to BCT’s instructions.

The bus stop is temporarily closed.

Check the agency alert for the replacement stop and direction. Do not wait at a closed stop simply because an old map still shows it.

I need to travel after the last bus.

Check other available services, and if the trip is eligible late-shift employment transportation, investigate Late Shift Connect before the travel date.
