Service frequency • July 2026 system map

WeGo Bus Schedule Times and Frequency

The July 2026 WeGo system map contains a frequency table showing approximately how often different routes run. These are planned service intervals, not live arrival times or promises that every bus will arrive on the minute.

WeGo route Weekday daytime Weekend daytime Important note
3 West End About every 10 min About every 15 min Frequency becomes less frequent in some evening periods; A/B patterns matter.
7 Hillsboro About every 15 min About every 20 min Evening service intervals vary.
8 8th Avenue South About every 30 min About every 30 min daytime Later service may have 40–60 minute intervals.
18 Airport About every 30 min About every 30 min About every 40 min in evening periods.

Source: WeGo Summer 2026 System Map (PDF). Daytime intervals are simplified summaries of the operator’s period-by-period frequency table. Check the actual route schedule for exceptions.

Visual comparison: planned daytime frequency

Shorter bars represent shorter waits between scheduled buses. These examples compare different published daytime service patterns rather than real-time traffic performance.

The chart shows the relative lengths of published service intervals; it is not a real-time countdown.

How early should you arrive? Reach most signed WeGo stops about 5–10 minutes before the scheduled bus. Allow approximately 10–15 minutes at an unfamiliar transit center, for a transfer or when you need more boarding time. For important appointments, plan an additional service buffer.
Actual timepoint examples

How to Interpret a WeGo Timetable

WeGo publishes departure and arrival times at selected major stops called timepoints. A dash in the timetable means the particular trip does not serve that timepoint.

Route / trip example From To Scheduled duration
3 West End — A Downtown White Bridge Pike, 4:51 AM Central Bay 5, 5:13 AM 22 minutes
3 West End — B Downtown Coley Davis Park & Ride, 5:11 AM Central Bay 5, 5:53 AM 42 minutes
18 Airport — Downtown via Elm Hill BNA, 6:17 AM Central Bay 4, 6:53 AM 36 minutes
Important: These are examples from the published route-page timetable views, not guaranteed departures for every service date. Use the official date and direction selectors for the day you will travel. Never use a sample time without checking whether that trip operates on your travel day.

To find the first and last bus, identify your direction and actual boarding stop, then look at the first and final available trips for that service date. Overnight journeys after midnight can appear in the previous service day’s late-night schedule.

Airport travel

WeGo Route 18: Nashville Airport to Downtown Bus

WeGo Route 18 connects Nashville International Airport (BNA) to the Elizabeth Duff Transit Center at WeGo Central. It is an economical option for travelers with a destination downtown or along the route.

Express journey ~20 min

Operator-published approximate express travel time between BNA and downtown.

Local journey 35–45 min

Typical local route travel time via intermediate stops, depending on traffic.

Where to catch the Route 18 bus at BNA

1Baggage claim
2Ground Transportation signs
3Terminal 2 Garage, Level 1
4Purple WeGo stop sign
5Route 18 boarding

WeGo identifies the BNA boarding location as the Ground Transportation Center on Level 1 of the Terminal 2 Garage. Route 18 includes local Elm Hill Pike trips and express trips, so confirm which journey you are boarding.

From downtown, use the correct Route 18 departure bay at WeGo Central. The printed Route 18 timetable can show different downtown bays for particular journeys, so check your trip’s date and boarding location rather than assuming a single fixed bay.

Stops and transfers

WeGo Central, Downtown Nashville and Major Boarding Points

The Elizabeth Duff Transit Center at WeGo Central is an important downtown transfer location. Many buses use different bays, and a route may have separate inbound and outbound boarding positions.

Elizabeth Duff Transit Center at WeGo Central

Address: 400 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Nashville, TN 37219.

Useful for local bus transfers, fare assistance, route information and connections to other Nashville services.

Rider tip: Know the bus bay before you go. A printed or online schedule can contain a bay number that differs from nearby routes.

North Nashville Transit Center

The Dr. Ernest Rip Patton, Jr. North Nashville Transit Center provides another transfer location for routes serving North Nashville.

Rider tip: When your trip uses the North Nashville center, verify whether your route boards there or at WeGo Central downtown.

How to make a reliable connection

1Arriving bus
2Confirm station
3Find next bay
4Check arrival
5Board correct route
Transfer tip: Two buses may both stop at a transit center but depart from different bays. For a tight transfer, verify the next bus’s departure from that station and allow time to walk between bays.
Maps and directions

WeGo Bus Route Map and Google Maps Directions

The official July 2026 system map identifies route corridors, transfer centers, WeGo Star rail stations, park-and-ride locations and WeGo Link service areas.

For walking directions, bus route comparisons and estimated transit journeys, Google Maps is useful when the participating agency supplies route information. The separate Google Maps bus schedule and transit directions guide explains how to choose departure times, interpret map results and distinguish scheduled service from live information.

WeGo Bus Detours, Construction and Stop Closures

Construction and special events can temporarily change the usual WeGo bus route. Service notices should be checked on the same day you travel, particularly around downtown Nashville.

Route 3 West End

In the official alerts checked October 9, 2026, WeGo reported downtown inbound and outbound detours affecting stops between the Central area and 8th Avenue South/Broadway.

Use the official Route 3 alert before attempting to board at an affected stop.

Route 18 Airport

The official alerts included a downtown outbound detour and construction-related stop impacts.

Airport passengers should recheck the departure bay and route pattern before heading to BNA.

Route 84 Murfreesboro

From October 5, 2026, Route 84 uses the Murfreesboro Transit Center Park & Ride at 725 Bridge Avenue, Bay 12, replacing the Stones River Mall location.

Check current Route 84 notices if using regional Park & Ride service.

Alert verification date: October 9, 2026. The conditions summarized here can change at any time. This article is not a live service-status feed, and an older alert does not establish whether a detour is still active when you travel.

The July 2026 system map identifies Sunday/Holiday schedules for major holidays including New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Holiday service can differ from regular weekday service. Special events, revised holiday notices or severe weather can also affect individual routes, so confirm the current notice for your specific travel date.

Sunday and holiday

Select the Sunday or holiday service calendar if the operator directs riders to use it. Do not rely on weekday frequency simply because the date falls on a Monday.

Snow and severe weather

Winter detours may move buses from their usual paths or temporarily close certain stops. Always check the agency’s current severe-weather and service-alert guidance.

  • Prepare QuickTicket, contactless payment or exact cash.
