Find the Right Route 37 Before You Use a Timetable

37 bus schedule does not identify one nationwide bus. Route 37 is used by unrelated transit agencies in Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Gainesville, Cincinnati and other cities.

Use the city and transit agency first. Then confirm direction, service day, major stop, fare, current alerts and live arrival before leaving for the stop.

Quick answer

There Is More Than One Route 37

The route number is reused in several transit systems. Do not copy a departure time from a Google result until you have matched the city, transit agency and direction.

1 Find your city

Start with where you are physically boarding.

2 Match the agency

SEPTA, SFMTA, LA Metro, RTS, Cincinnati Metro or another operator.

3 Check direction

Match the destination shown on the bus headsign.

4 Choose your stop

Use the exact stop, station, terminal or stop ID.

5 Recheck live

Confirm predicted arrival and current alerts shortly before leaving.

Do not assume Route 37 is still active everywhere. TriMet discontinued Portland-area Line 37-Lake Grove on August 23, 2026. Parts of the former service are now covered by Lines 96-Boones Ferry Rd and 78-Denney/Kerr Pkwy.
Coverage note: The routes below are useful representative Route 37 services with current official information. They are not a claim that every Route 37 in North America appears on this page.

Times & service pattern

Route 37 Schedule Comparison

The table below is designed as a route resolver, not a replacement for the full official timetable. Exact departure time still depends on your direction and stop.

Route Service pattern Useful timing detail Before you leave
SEPTA 37
Philadelphia
Long-span service with airport-area and Chester trips. Exact trip patterns vary; some trips terminate short of the full Chester–Broad-Snyder route. Check current schedule plus construction detour.
SFMTA 37 Corbett

LA Metro 37
Los Angeles
Downtown LA ↔ Washington/Fairfax via Adams Blvd. The PDF shows frequent daytime service and late-night/early-morning trips. Check your exact direction and current Metro arrivals.
RTS 37
Gainesville

TriMet 37
Portland area
No longer operates. Discontinued August 23, 2026. Use Lines 96 and 78 instead.

Do Not Pick a Bus Using “37” Alone

The destination sign matters as much as the route number. Two buses showing 37 can be traveling in opposite directions.

1 Find Route 37
2 Read headsign
3 Match destination
4 Confirm stop side
5 Check live arrival
Philadelphia example Look for Broad-Snyder, Chester Transit Center, Airport Business Center or another short-trip destination shown on the vehicle.
San Francisco example SFMTA labels the directions as inbound to The Haight and outbound to Twin Peaks.
Los Angeles example Line 37 uses westbound toward Washington/Fairfax and eastbound toward Downtown Los Angeles.
Fare & ticket price

Route 37 Fare Depends on the Transit Agency

SEPTA Route 37 $2.90 Bus & Metro pay-per-ride fare

Contactless payment and SEPTA Key include up to two qualifying transfers within 120 minutes. Cash is exact fare and does not provide the same transfer benefit.

SFMTA 37 Corbett $2.85 Adult Clipper / contactless fare

Cash and Metro ticket-machine adult fare is $3.00. The standard Muni single ride is valid for 120 minutes.

LA Metro Line 37 $1.75 Regular one-way fare

Metro caps regular fares at $5 per day and $18 over seven days. Transfers are free within two hours when eligible and using the same payment method.

Gainesville RTS 37 $1.50 Regular adult cash fare

A 24-hour pass is $3.00. Eligible ADA fixed-route riders and certain employee/student groups can ride under prepaid or free-access programs.

Cincinnati Metro 37 $2.20 Local single ride

The local day pass is $4.40. Metro supports cash, fare products and app-based payment options.

Former TriMet 37 $2.80 Current TriMet adult fare

The old Route 37 no longer runs, but this is the standard adult TriMet fare for the replacement network. The fare is valid for 2½ hours.

Fare-saving tip: do not assume paying cash gives the same transfer privileges as a contactless card, transit card or mobile payment. Check the operator’s fare rules first.

Which Route 37 Map Should You Open?

A single Google Map would be misleading on this page because these Route 37 services are in different cities. Use the official route map for the city you actually need.

SEPTA 37 map clues Chester Transportation Center → airport area → Eastwick / Southwest Philadelphia → Broad-Snyder.
SFMTA 37 map clues Twin Peaks / Corbett → Castro → Church → Cole → Haight / Masonic.

TriMet 37 discontinued Portland-area Line 37-Lake Grove was discontinued August 23, 2026. Riders should check Lines 96 and 78.

Route 37 FAQs

Questions Riders Commonly Ask

What is the Route 37 bus schedule?

There is no single Route 37 schedule. The route number is used by multiple agencies, so first identify the city and transit system before using any timetable.
